Meet The Artist

My dear mother was an artist and my dear father was an art connoisseur. I was inspired to sketch and color at a young age. Ever since then, I have witnessed the play of light on the hills at dawn, the sunset on the ocean, the bright face of a flower, the incandescence of a raindrop, a smile that lights up a face, fluttering shadows of leaves on smooth walls, crenellated turrets, rustic doors, stained glass windows, a ripple in a pond, the wings of a seagull. Everything amazes me. I strive to capture the truth that is beauty. Through my art, I connect with my inner child and with my growing circle of friends who love art for art’s sake. I draw my inspiration from Indian miniature paintings done by my mother, the works of Monet, Matisse, Renoir, Picasso, Gaudi, Klimt and the greatest teacher of all - Nature. I am always painting or writing poetry on the canvas of my soul. My art and poetry heal me and rejuvenate me. I am happy to share my creativity with you.
